Haraldskær

Haraldskær manor house can be traced all the way back to the 1400s. The main building has been rebuild many times and now serves as a hotel and conference-center. The nearby home farm is owned by the municipality of Vejle. The plan is to create a visitors’ center called Dalenes Hus on the grounds.

At the edge of the forest south of Haraldskær there´s a great view of Vejle River Valley. The big differences in height are ideal for creating a substantial vantage point. Between the forest and the fields south of Haraldskær there´s a possibility of building a footbridge, on which you can move through the forest towards the view at the edge of the forest. Due to the declining terrain, the edge of the forest is situated 40 meters above ground with a great view of the creek valley.

A vantage point at Haraldskær will complement the planned facilities around the visitors’ center Dalenes Hus. The vantage point will become part of the story of Haraldskær and be integrated in the information about the creek valley, the nature and the cultural heritage of the area.
